Our purpose
Born and raised in Barbados, our founder Caroline wanted to solve a problem that became personal - finding jewelry that looked good, did not irritate her skin, and was available locally.
After years of experiencing reactions to unknown metals and costume jewelry, it was time to find another solution. Coco Jewelry began by the tedious process of stringing beads one by one. When this became overwhelming, we delved deeper.

What materials do you use?
Each piece has its materials listed in the details. What do they mean?
Gold plated stainless steel - stainless steel is a hypoallergenic, durable metal that carries gold plating exceptionally well. We like to use this for friction heavy products like our Carabiner Charm Clasp (clasp only), and Coordinates Cuff. The downside - stainless steel has a dark hue that some people do not prefer.
Gold plated sterling silver - 925 sterling silver plated with 14-18k gold. This method uses a thin gold plating, 1 micron, that tends to fade within a year or less from wear.
Gold Vermeil - 925 sterling silver plated with 14k gold. This method uses a thicker gold plating, 2.5 micron, which can last years with the proper care. Vermeil is practically the step before gold.
All of our jewelry pieces are hypoallergenic, eliminating the worry behind skin irritation is discoloration.
Are any purchases final sale?
If you are unhappy with your purchase, we facilitate exchanges. We do not process refunds.
When will I get my order?
We will work quickly to fulfill your order in a timely manner. For bespoke pieces, please allow up to 3 business days for your order to be completed as these are made to order.
For in stock orders, these usually take 1-2 business days to be fulfilled. We use BPS (Barbados Postal Service) to ship locally in Barbados to all parishes. With the Express Mail Service, this requires face to face delivery. You can add your work address to the delivery instructions f you don't think you'll be home when your package is out for delivery.
You will also receive an email letting you know your order is out for delivery. If you receive an out for delivery notification in the morning before 11am, you will more than likely receive your order the same day, unless otherwise arranged.

Coco Jewelry is featured boutique style in Coco Mode Café & Health Bar, located in Graeme Hall Nature Sanctuary, Worthing Christ Church. For opening times and days, visit our Store page. Some items may be limited or excluded from this physical location.
Do you ship internationally?
We do not currently ship outside of Barbados due to high export rates. This will be updated if this changes.
